A Skala Industries installation in a Las Vegas Valley building.

Skala Industries / Gyms & Fitness

The sale happens in the ninety seconds after.

Nobody plans to buy a recovery drink. They finish, they are hot, and either something cold is ten steps away or the moment is gone. A gym without that ten steps is leaving the easiest revenue in the building on the floor.

What this building actually needs

Cold, close, and nobody behind it.

Fitness is the clearest case in our whole book for a smart cooler rather than a market. The assortment is narrow and almost entirely chilled, the purchase is impulsive and immediate, and the front desk is either thin or unstaffed at exactly the hours the gym is busiest. A unit that opens with a tap and charges when the door closes does the job a person would otherwise have to be paid to do.

01 — The right ten feet

Between the floor and the door

Placement decides this one. On the path out, in sight of the last machine — not around a corner by the lockers. We will tell you where it should go before we tell you what goes in it.

02 — Recovery, not snacks

Protein, electrolytes, cold caffeine

Ready-to-drink protein, electrolytes, cold brew and water, with a short shelf-stable tail. Narrow and always full beats wide and half-empty, and in this room it is not close.

03 — 24-hour access

Including the hours nobody is at the desk

Card or member account, camera-monitored, no attendant and nothing to unlock. A 24-hour gym gets a 24-hour store rather than a vending machine that eats a card at 4am.

The build

No staff work, at all.

Skala owns the unit, funds the stock and restocks it weekly on a fixed route. Your team does not count it, order it, reconcile it or hand anything over a desk. It should be the least demanding thing in the building.

What the building provides
Floor space, a standard outlet and access for the weekly restock. Skala owns the equipment, funds the inventory and carries the operating risk.
Signed to stocked
Four to six weeks, including the build, the fit-out and the first fill.
The consultation is a call
We work from your dimensions and photos and place the build in your room in augmented reality. A site visit happens only when the building genuinely needs one.

Before you commit

See it standingin your own room.

Nobody should sign for a fixture they have only seen in a brochure. You can stand one in your own room right now, from your phone — and then we do the tailored version together on the call.

Right now, on your phone
Micromart’s own Location AR viewer puts a real unit in your space at true scale. Pick single, double or triple, and standard or wood finish. No app to download, iPhone or Android. We’re a Certified Micromart Pro Operator, so this is the actual hardware we install — not an approximation.
Then, on the call
We work from your dimensions and two or three photos and place the specified build in your room — footprint, height, sightlines, what it blocks and what it doesn’t — while you’re both looking at it, so you can say “move it left” and we do.
Why it replaced the site visit
Faster for you and more accurate than a tape measure and a conversation. We only come out in person if the site genuinely calls for it.

Gyms & Fitness, specifically

Questions we actually get.

We're a studio, not a big-box gym. Are we too small?

Possibly not. A single smart cooler needs a wall, an outlet and enough regular traffic to turn chilled stock — that is a much lower bar than a full market. Tell us your weekly visits and your busiest hours and we will give you a straight answer.

Can members use their gym account?

Purchases are by card or member account at the unit itself. We would rather keep it independent of your membership system than ask your team to reconcile two things that can disagree with each other.

What if a member takes something and puts it back?

Nothing happens. The charge settles when the door closes, against what actually left the shelf. It behaves like a fridge, not like a machine that has already taken the money.

Do you carry supplements?

Ready-to-drink protein and electrolytes, yes. We stay out of anything that belongs behind a counter or comes with claims we cannot stand behind.

Who handles it if something goes wrong?

We do. The unit reports its own telemetry, so most faults surface before anyone in the building notices, and you have one named contact here in the valley rather than a ticket queue.

Hydration and single-serve are the whole game in a gym, and our shelves agree. what actually sells in a break-room market ranks what actually moves, why premium water outranks soda, and where the long tail of any unattended assortment turns into dead shelf.
