A Skala Industries micro market installed in a Las Vegas Valley break room.

Skala Industries / North Las Vegas

The valley’s warehouses are up here.

North Las Vegas took roughly three-quarters of the entire valley’s positive industrial net absorption in the second quarter of 2026, and most of the new space delivered in it. Those buildings run more than one shift, and there is very little within driving distance of them at two in the morning.

The local read

A shift is not a lunch break.

Distribution and manufacturing break rooms fail differently from office break rooms. The demand is spread across the clock, it is heavier on real food than on snacks, and the cost of a stockout is not a lost sale — it is somebody clocking out to go find something and coming back late. Which is why fill rate matters more here than assortment breadth.

01 — Distribution centres

Open at 2am, same as 2pm

A full market carries the range a shift actually eats — frozen meals, fresh food, protein, coffee — and a self-checkout kiosk that does not care what time it is. Nothing jams, and nothing has to be unlocked by a supervisor.

02 — Manufacturing & light industrial

One wall, the whole break room

Where the floor plate is tight, a cooler bank plus shelving along a single wall does most of the work of a full market. We specify against the room you have rather than the room the catalogue assumes.

03 — Multi-tenant industrial parks

Counted together, not separately

A park where four tenants share a break area is one site with real headcount, not four sites that each miss the floor. Worth saying on the call — it changes what we can put in.

The build

Fill rate is the whole job.

Every visit is driven by live telemetry from your site and the planogram is photographed after every restock. A shelf that empties by Thursday gets more facings, not an apology.

What the building provides
Floor space, a standard outlet and access for the weekly restock. Skala owns the equipment, funds the inventory and carries the operating risk.
Signed to stocked
Four to six weeks, including the build, the fit-out and the first fill.
The consultation is a call
We work from your dimensions and photos and place the market in your room in augmented reality. A site visit happens only when the building genuinely needs one.

Before you commit

See it standingin your own room.

Nobody should sign for a fixture they have only seen in a brochure. You can stand one in your own room right now, from your phone — and then we do the tailored version together on the call.

Right now, on your phone
Micromart’s own Location AR viewer puts a real unit in your space at true scale. Pick single, double or triple, and standard or wood finish. No app to download, iPhone or Android. We’re a Certified Micromart Pro Operator, so this is the actual hardware we install — not an approximation.
Then, on the call
We work from your dimensions and two or three photos and place the specified build in your room — footprint, height, sightlines, what it blocks and what it doesn’t — while you’re both looking at it, so you can say “move it left” and we do.
Why it replaced the site visit
Faster for you and more accurate than a tape measure and a conversation. We only come out in person if the site genuinely calls for it.

North Las Vegas, specifically

Questions we actually get.

Do you cover the Apex and Speedway industrial areas?

North Las Vegas is on Skala's regular weekly route, including the industrial corridors around Apex, the Speedway and Craig Road. If a site sits far enough out that a weekly visit is not realistic, we will say so on the call rather than install and under-service it.

We run three shifts. Does that change the build?

It changes the assortment and the restock timing more than the hardware. Multi-shift sites eat more real food and less snack, and they empty faster overnight, so the pick list is weighted differently and the visit is scheduled around the shift change rather than around our convenience.

What about theft in an open market?

Some shrink is normal and it is priced into how the business is run rather than into your agreement. Checkout is account-based and camera-monitored, and a market inside a badge-access building behaves very differently from a shop on a street. The shrink is Skala's risk.

How many people does a warehouse need on site?

About 100 daily is the practical floor for a market. Below that, fresh food cannot turn fast enough to stay fresh and we will recommend a smart cooler instead, or nothing at all.

Can you handle a building that is still under construction?

Yes, and earlier is better — a market that is designed into the break room during fit-out ends up in the right place, with the right power and the right traffic line. New construction is scoped differently from an occupied building; that is a conversation for the call.

North Las Vegas absorbs most of the valley's new industrial space, and most of its fourth-quarter hiring with it. What changes in a Las Vegas break room between now and New Year's works through what that does to a break room, and when the decision has to be made.
